費城的煙火似乎還在我心裡綻放
早上上班的路途 嘴角不禁地上揚
我發現 快樂是一種氣場
有傳染力的一種感應

路上每個人看到我
都從面無表情露出真摯的笑

趁著開心的時候就要多笑

費城是一個奇妙的城市
有很舊 幾近荒廢的市容
也有很精緻 文化感強烈的街道

我們搭火車去費城郊外一個可愛的城鎮 Chestnut Hill
去了原始的森林公園Wissahickon Park健行
好久好久沒被這樣的綠蔭覆蓋
沒赤足在清澈冰涼的溪水玩耍
感受陽光溫柔的灑落臉頰
吃著早上在市場買的新鮮麵包 跟火雞三明治
J說 "這才是身為人類應該要感受的啊!"

讓我想到小時候 我們家在後山有個秘密機地
到假日的時候 把拔馬麻都會帶我跟哥哥還有我們家那時候養的大麥町去探險
那真的是很美好的時光

還去了費城的港口Penn's Landing
等了好久好久 等到大夥都不大耐煩的時候
才看到煙火
人類也是很好討好 一秒鐘就忘記先前等待的不悅
心滿意足的望著那十五分鐘的燦爛

it makes me feel so good.
I really like the way they cheer together.

Today is an energetic Wednesday.
Seems like the fireworks still blooming inside of me.
Can't stop smiling while I am walking on my way to work.
Suddenly noticed that happy is an infectious atmosphere.
So many people turn their face from numb to smiley when they looked at me.

It would be nice to put a big smile on your face when you're happy.

Philly is a peculiar city.
They have an old, desolate street view,
but also have delicate and civilized one.

We took the train to Chestnut Hill, a cute little town on the outskirt.
We went on hiking at Wissahickon Park, a virgin forest park.
It's been a long time that I haven't been surrounded by so much greenery,
soaked my feet in the cool water of the creek and felt the sunlight tenderly fell on my cheek.
Eating the fresh bread and turkey quesadila that we bought in the market that morning,
J said, "that's how people should experience!"

It reminds me of the time when I was a kid,
my parents used to take me, my brother and our dalmatian to a secret spot inside of the mountain where we live.
It was a really lovely time.

We also went to see the fireworks at Penn's Landing,
the harbor of Philadelphia.
Waited for hell of long time.
But people are easy to pleased.
It took one second to forgot all the discontent when they saw the dazzling fireworks.

I feel understanding more,

although it might not come true,
it still make people feel hope and glee.
We satisfyingly staring at the smiling on each other face.

I like this song re-interpreted by JJ.
The arrangement technique is really mature.
Using guitar as the base, it doesn't sound monotonous,
but have a good comparison with the chorus.

好像很久沒上來寫我的音樂日記了
這一兩個月發生了很多事
但似乎比較適合放在心裡紀念

做實習的日子我覺得還滿開心的
我每天都有好多好多時間聽新的音樂
這就是在辦公室工作的好處 更是在音樂機構做事的開心點
聽音樂就是王道 天經地義

老闆前幾天還拿了三張CD 跟一本音樂雜誌給我
問我有沒有興趣 (當然有啊)
每次去他辦公室 桌上總有疊成一座山的CD丘
不難看出老闆對音樂的投入

還有個有趣的是我的同事 我們的公關總監
平時她看起來就像是普通的辦公室小姐
但下了班就變成帥氣的音樂人 好像超人喔
自己發過兩張片
也都有自己的演唱會喔

所見所聞都是音樂 每天都是幸福

這首歌名叫Conversation with a ghost
歌手叫Ellis Paul 是我來Calliope工作後第一個認識的音樂人
第一場音樂會 第一個感動
就是這麼簡單的一把吉他 一架Keyboard
就能吸引全場如癡的緊盯著他
怕錯過一個表情

每個民謠音樂歌手 都是絕佳的說故事高手

It seems like I haven't come here for a while.
It actually happened lots of memorable things during this two months.
But something better keep in heart rather than sharing, agree?


My days of internship are quite nice.
I got plenty of time exploring new music,
which is the benefit of working inside the office, especially in a music organization.
Listen to the music must be right, like a law.

Couple days ago my boss took some CDs and a music magazine to me,
asking whether I'm interested or not. (Off course I am)
Every time when I went office, her desk was always stacked with a pile of CDs.
Easy to tell that she's been devoted herself to the music so much.

Other interesting part is about my colleague, our PR director.
She looks like normal office lady,
but she will turn into a cool music-woman when getting off work. Like a superman.
She had released two albums so far, and held several concerts.
Amazing.

What I saw and what I heard is all about music, which delights me so much.

The name of this song is called conversation with a ghost.
The singer is Ellis Paul. He's the first artist that I met when I first worked at Calliope.
The first concert that touches my heart.
Simply a guitar, a keyboard, can tightly catch audience's attention.
They infatuatedly stared at him and didn't want to miss a thing, not even a face expression.


Every folk musicians is a skillful story teller.

The duo in the refrain part is so beautiful.
They catch the beat accurately.
The harmonization of their voice is perfect.
Most important, they can both sing in such a emotive way.
They really deserved some applause.

Jacob是我們學院很另類的美國人
他的背景 融合了太多的不可能
慢條斯理的步調 說話緩慢到讓人懷疑他是不是當機了
但其實腦筋轉得比誰都快 思路已經轉了好幾圈了

爸爸是德國核子物理學家 媽媽是美國藝術家
哥哥是職業西洋棋士 弟弟還在大學唸書 唸語藝學裡的名詞學
他自己是數學跟政治科學雙修
他自稱宅男 但我從來沒見過一個宅男會同時對歷史政治狂熱的

我真的覺得很開心
能夠這樣隨機地約他旅行
很深入地 了解一個人

在他面前 會有種返僕歸真的感覺
像沈括的兒時記趣裡說的
 "余憶童稚時，能張目對日，明察秋毫。見藐小微物，必細察其紋理，故時有物外之趣"˙
對小小的事物 都可以用不同的角度去欣賞  因而覺得很新鮮
隨時都在學習 隨時都在體驗

希望我們還可以再一起去旅行 去大峽谷 去法國
希望你永遠都可以當我的トトロ

The forty eight hours in Washington DC.
The splendid cherry blossom.
The adorable sunset.
The gigantic Jefferson statue stands isolated by the lake,
hearing everyone's discussion about him.
It's a lonely scene.

Jacob showed me this song that he likes so much,
it's called "love rescue me."
Putting on his headphone,
I stared at the sunset.
The resplendent beams of sunlight in the last moment.
The shouting voice in the last part of the song.
The sun slipped below the horizon when the song ended.
How many sunrise or sunset can be remembered in one man's life?
The sunset at DC isn't that different,
but music turns it perfect.

Five am in the morning,we arrived the city that still hasn't awake.
We strolled on the street, sat on the bench in the park randomly.
Patches of fogs makes the weather chill.
Tulips were still sleeping. They closed their petal, as if they don't want to be disturbed.
There were cherry blossom who was awake, so did the early birds and squirrel.

Five am inside the train station. It was empty and quiet.
We lay on a bench, staring at the ceiling that has octagon patterns.
I asked: "What comes into your mind when you see that?"
He said: "I think all Americans would think of stop sign when they see octagon."
I said: "Really? Isn't it makes you think of hive?"
He stopped for a second, and said slowly, "I think hive is hexagon.."

Jacob is an American who is different from other Americans in Heinz.
He has a interesting background that merge all the impossibilities.
He speaks really slow while he thinks fast.
Sometimes I feel like he's crashing like a computer.

His father was a German nuclear physicist. His mom is a American artist.
He has a professional chess- player-brother, and a younger brother who is studying rhetoric.
He calls himself nerdy. But I don't know any other nerdy who also has passion in politics and history.


I am so glad that we have this trip in such a spontaneous way.
I feel delighted to know someone so well, especially he is extremely interesting. 

I feel like a kid in front of him.
Just like a Chinese ancient article describes about one man's childhood,
I feel the same way as the writer felt. 
Everything has a different view point. Everything becomes so fun and attractive.  
I'm learning and experiencing things in every moment while I'm with him.

I hope our next trips can come true. To grand canyon, to France. 
I hope you can always be my to to ro : )
