Birds and Stars__Elephant revial

berkeley 下雨了
濕濕冷冷但是很美
因為可以看到被霧環繞的山
若隱若現樹的枝幹
像是電影裡的某個過場畫面

空氣中有種泥土的味道
有點像剛除完草的校園
一點焦味 一點清新

我走到離家最近的一條商業街shattuck street
嚐了一間有名的vegan餐廳的漢堡 叫source mini
在LA有一間我愛的素食餐廳叫做veggie grill
我每次都會點一個漢堡叫做santa fe "chikin" burger

因為那家餐廳就在我學校building樓下
所以我時不時就會遇到下來買晚餐的學校保全

有一次他就跟我說
"don't get the mushroom burger, it's gross, stick with the meat "
然後我就回他
"yeah, you couldn't really tell that their meat is fake"
然後他就說
"what are you talking about!?"
原來他吃了這麼久veggie grill, 都不知道原來這是間素食餐廳
他真心以為他點的chikin burger就是chicken burger
後來每次見面, 這就變成我們唯一的話題
總要一而再 再而三的跟我說
"they really fool me, you know?"
真是安能辨我是雌雄的漢堡

今天我吃的vegan 漢堡 不走那個安能辨我是雌雄的路線
他們的漢堡很開宗明義的就是素食
但是吃起來又很有紮實感
調味也調的很適中 不像很多素食餐廳
為了填補欠缺的肉味 就加了很多有的沒的醬料
吃完反而叫人噁心
 berkeley又發現了新的吃飯地點~nice

餐廳隔壁有個賣gelato 的店 叫什麼gelato cafe之類的
天冷不想吃冰 但看到cafe就不禁讓我想找找有沒有熱可可
果真在menu的最後一行看到熱可可
我就站在冰淇淋櫃跟店員說我要一杯熱可可
店員就爽朗的說ok  卻動也不動
我就只好再說一遍 我要"小杯"的熱可可
店員盯著我五秒 就說
我們這裡的熱可可
是用冰淇淋去融化加牛奶
所以你要跟我說你想要哪一種巧克力冰淇淋
soga~

熱可可拿到手後 小小一杯
但真的好好喝喔
邊喝邊想  好妙喔
先把熱可可濃縮變成冰淇淋
然後再加熱加牛奶 這麼搞鋼是為了什麼呢
但是再想想 其實這麼做也很make sense啦
畢竟是個冰淇淋店嘛

邊喝熱可可 邊感覺到熱量在增加
於是就加快腳步走到了圖書館
抓了兩本書 一本叫don't cry 一本叫married love
第一本看了二十頁 女主角是個有精神病自閉過胖的人
在她的世界大家都有病 對她都很不友善
看一看就覺得很煩
換了第二本書 看了十頁
在講 一個十九歲的女孩想跟年紀能當自己爺爺的教授結婚
但是看的十幾頁裡
全是美國青少年跟爸媽那種不禮貌又不合理的對話
看一看又煩了
覺得美國教育真的是有問題


今天的日記真的好日記
雖沒有什麼重點 但每一小小點都是記憶
如果每天都能養成習慣寫日記就好了

今天的主題曲是elephant revival 去年新專輯的新歌
非常有他們的風格  氣質清新脫俗
簡單的旋律  反覆聽也不覺得膩
覺得是緩慢的吟唱  背景卻有十六分音符在背後支撐著整首歌的律動
我想也是這種快慢的對比 賦予這首歌力量
歌詞也寫得很好
